One Month Dread Babies!!
<3

Aaaand Many many more to go. I am so very excited that this has happened to me, you have no idea. I am pleased with how they are turning out and how people are reacting to them. Some people are shocked at first when they see my hot pink dread locks flying from the top of my head, but then it just becomes curiosity and they are asking me tons of questions like how to take care of them...etc. I am so happy about them. Surprisingly, a lot of people that I know have always wanted them but never really knew much about them. First response to my explanation on dreads was "Wow. o_o You know a lot about dreads.."

I'd like to say that I DO know a lot about them, but only the stuff that you need to know before getting them. The rest I will learn with experience and time, it's all worth it, though. It's amazing to see how much they have changed.

I didn't take a lot of pictures today, and decided that I would just show you the difference between the first four days, and the one month picture since I didn't get one from the first day of dreads for me. I hope that you enjoy the progress that the dreads have made, and I hope that you can tell that I am really into this, and if you have any questions just leave me a comment and I will be sure to let you know with the best answer possible.

Changes since I've been dreading: As you all know, I wrote about how my lower dreads came out after my chlorine swim, and were going to be left alone to free form. Well now, I officially have seven dreads that are trying to form on their own. It's amazing! I love it.

Methods changed sine I've been dreading: I started off washing every two, but changed to every four with a cool rinse every other day. Now, I will put cold water with one or two drops of tea tree oil on a really dry irritated spot and that seems to take care of the issue of itchyness and even sweat and oil.

I hope that you all have an awesome time dreading, and if you want to get started dreading, I will post a blog about how to get started, and what to research...etc. I hope that you all have a great day/night.

One month. Good morning!

Good morning everyone! It's officially four weeks of dreadlocks! :D
I am too tired, and its' 2:00 AM and I need to sleep, so later tonight will be when I do my official post with the pictures and everything, okay, loves? I hope you enjoy it.
I'm happy with my dread babies very much.

I should mention that I've also got a dreadlockssite.com account in which I post a lot of my dread progress and you should join that website if you have any interest in dreads at all. :)

Will post more later, must snooze.

How do you count your dreadies age?

There really is a lot of confusion for me in this area. I mean, I usually counted it like you would a relationship. Month by Month.

For instance, I started my dreadlocks on May 16, 2012. So, on June 16, 2012 It would be my one month dread anniversary. However, I wanted to go by weeks.

So, Each week On Wednesday is one more week added on, and technically FOUR weeks equals a month, right? Okay, if so, then, my one month dread anniversary will be Wednesday, June 13th (Tomorrow), right?

Ugh, it's so simple, but all the same either way. How do you count your dreads age? I suppose what I'll do when it comes to my one year dread thing, I will have count it up until I get to May 16, 2013 and then that will be my dready one year birthday. :)

Bahhaha, randomness. <3

P.S. On a sadder, darker note, my girlfriend and I broke up. It's a long story, but it's all okay in the end. :)

P.S.S. I will be posting a blog tomorrow on my one month. :)

Dread Babies : Three Weeks!

Okay, so yesterday I got on here and posted a few pictures that were taken on the day of my two week mark. I hope that you liked them, because today I woke up and nearly lost my mind at how AWFULLY different my hair looked. It was weird. Some of my dreads have completely lost all their color--almost, and are starting to look like a wet sock D;
Lame as hell, if you ask me, but all part of the process! I'm sitting here at 12:56 AM On Wednesday[Thursday Morning] with my girlfriend, and she's like, "WTF BITCH HURRY DAH FUCKUP." So, I can't really post much about what's been going on with them 'cause I don't want to piss her off. :3 So, I'm going to post a few pictures and then talk about some unfortunate business with my locks in a second post that wont take me too long to explain.

Anywhore, Pictures [Below]

My nephew and I hanging around my brothers
truck. I loved how fucking nuts they looked!

Look at them! They are totally fat, and messy!! :33

Taking side pictures. :\]

this is the ride side. The side that has been maturing the most,
but this one looks like there are more loose hairs over
here than on my left side, which seems to be going all
eight legged freaks on me. :]]

I love the random hot pink in there.

fucking lunatics!

So um...I don't know why this one is here.

the right side, top of the head, dreadies. :) Love them.

My particular favorite fatty.

Well, my dearies, I hope you enjoyed my little show of my dready children. I hope that you are able to see the obvious change in them since I've had them for the first week (no not just the color) because I'm really loving it. I'm hoping that I will see some drastic changes in them next week which will be a technical MONTH. :)

A dry spell...

Okay, so I've been having an issue that I'm sure a lot of dread heads have...
One thing I probably need to mention to people, is that when you have dreads for a long time--or even a short period of time--they begin to kind of 'suck' the moisture out of the top of your head, which can cause dandruff or severe itching, and your scalp will begin to dry. It kind of sucks--no, it really sucks!-- but you deal with it in a very simple way. Normally, you'd use dandruff shampoo for about three weeks, every day right? Well, as you know--or don't--with dreadlocks you can't wash it every day, or you shouldn't--it doesn't matter-- WHAT THE FUCK SICKLE AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?? you ask?, Well, I can help you with it!

What seems to have worked for me in the past events of dreads, is ice cold water!
Steps

1) Take a pitcher, a large one!
2) Fill it with ICE COLD water.
3) bend over the sink/pool/tub/..etc
4) and slowly pour it over your head.

Beware, it's going to be ICE COLD!

I would prefer you put it over all of your head, but you can just focus on the itches if you want to. Its not going to harm your hair to get it wet every other day, you know? So, if you do this every other day, it could help lock in some moisture in between washes--not to mention it feels really really refreshing! <3

Hope this helped, even a little

Three week Part One. [a little bit of 2 week]

Three Weeks Dread Babies!!

So, It's been three weeks! I'm so excited. I want to be able to show you a few pictures of the differences here in a little bit. I want to be able to describe how amazing they really are to me, but somehow I don't feel that I will be able to explain it right now. I will try my best to get on here tomorrow and give you a better update than this. I will just post a couple pictures of the 2 week mark.

TWO WEEKS [below]

Well, I have to go now, but like i said, I'll post my 3 week pics, and my actual blog post tomorrow.. :]
